Grafting the Vine

*Everything* is connected and similar in certain ways… yes, in the usual ways you may think of, but also in other ways…

For example: even though things appear to be solid, in actuality nothing is really solid… there is a whole lot of space between all those atoms (and within them)… even in rock… or water…

Also… all atoms have electrons… all are driven by the same energy… regardless of whether the atom is hydrogen, helium, carbon, or iron…

Furthermore… in this connectedness or similarity, we find that all things are acted upon… just as they act upon all things…

I affect Life and Life affects me… invariably, because both act upon each other and are acted upon (at the same time, in the same moment), both are changed accordingly… in a simultaneous, momentary, and unique dance of Life…

In all these actions certain laws apply… the difference in the application of these laws is only in the specific spot (in time and place) that each works in… for example each leaf on a tree grows in a certain basic pattern (according to the law for all leaves of such trees)… but each leaf gets its individual characteristics based on which branch it is on, the amount of sap, sunlight, wind, moisture, and many other factors such as gravity (in that specific spot), altitude, soil conditions, etc… each leaf’s size, shape, texture, color is a result of these interactions…

If we could consistently simulate exactly the same conditions, we might perhaps repeat the actions and results… thus proving the invariability of any one law… but even this we cannot hope to do because no matter how close we get, the moment is different… and that in itself will produce a different result…

Unvarying laws of life with infinite permutations… moment to moment… but always in the One moment…

[We humans live under these laws – both physically and spiritually… and that is what (I think) the Bible means when it talks about the Laws of Life… if we follow these Laws (or, accept them), we are changed in a beneficial way… if we reject  them, we in actuality reject Life and are changed in non-beneficial ways — until the eventual result is, in one word, death… in this way, we are grafted onto the vine…  from which we draw our sustenance… either of Life… or of death…

It seems to me that much of humankind today is striving to avoid, defy, or modify these natural laws into something they believe to be ‘new & improved’… and thus, with each step, enter further into the realm of the law of death… in my mind, since Man is the only life form on earth to do so, in essence this makes humankind insane at least and deadly at worst — as can be seen in the world around us… so-called civilized men have allowed themselves to be grafted onto and are feeding off the vine of death… becoming poison fruit…

But… any one of us can, at any time, be grafted onto the vine of Life…

Anyway…]

These Laws of Life exist in any/all dimension(s)… and I believe are ultimately the result of One law manifesting its unique characteristics in a particular time, place, dimension (just as the vine is one, manifesting different aspects in different places)… the One being the same here on earth as in any other dimension… such as another universe, or “heaven”, for example…

It may be that this One Law is what we call Love…

I think God created the universe(s) – each according to its laws, based upon the One – and then sort of just let it all go… not as in uncaring, but as in freedom…

and that is what we are experiencing… as well as discovering… scientifically… spiritually…

I really liked the concept of unvarying laws of life with infinite permutations, and the thought that no matter how we try, we cannot really recreate any moment “exactly” as it was. It often feels to me like this is where our heart sneaks into and interacts with creation. As if creation is just loose enough to create gaps into which our Love can enter into.
