Sprinkle: Makin’ Love

Sometimes (some might say too often), when I think about the human part of this world, I tend to get a little bit depressed because of all the pain & misery out there… I won’t get into describing it (the pain) because I’m sure if you’re reading this, you’re already aware of it… and that’s not what this post is about…

When this happens, I

slow down
center
focus

and continue trying to figure it out… to understand, yes… but more to help fix it or balance it or whatever — anything, whatever it takes… just so it stops…

One thing I keep encountering is good peoples’ (more respectfully: beings’) consistent repeating that “what the world needs now, is love”… and I agree with that… but what does it mean, actually? We’ve talked about what Love is, and I agree we need more of it… but more? how?

The bad guys are insane… they take their shit really serious… use everything available to spread the darkness… they condition, dim the Lights, or even turn the Lights off… with little regard for Life or Love… and it appears we, who prefer to shine and light new lights, are not even slowing them down…

But why is this?

If we outnumber them and we’re all trying to “be the change you want to see”, why does the darkness appear to be gaining? Why does it seem like they’re getting stronger and more numerous while we seem to be getting fewer and getting weaker? Is it our perception of reality? Is it a cycle? Are more lights unlit than lit? Do we need reinforcements? Are we doing something wrong?

Not necessarily wrong…

I figure if the ‘bad’ people have all those resources & all that power, and they’re winning…

why aren’t we, who (like the others) have all kinds of power & resources available to us, doing better?… so why aren’t we?… could it be because the bad ones are making more pain than we are Love?…

Yeah, I think part of the reason may be that we’re not makin’ enough Love…

Now I don’t mean the kind of love that comes with candles & music… er, not really… well it’s a good thing, so yes… but I mean more of Love with a capital ‘L’…

We need to make more Love… we need to make more Love than the others do of not-Love…

Question is: How?

Hmmm… well… we all have energy right? and we all use energy, right?… OK, now add the positive attitude thing… if we use that energy (on a more conscious and powerful level) to also make Love… whenever we do anything, we’re making Love… we’re helping to do our part in creating it (or manifesting if you prefer)… and consciously guiding it outwards…

Think of an intimate caress… or feeding a baby… if we can apply that focus, intent, intensity, and joy in all our experiences, well, in my opinion that’s a start… (I think) probably a good one…

Look… I bake my own bread… when I mix and bake, I can just do it blah-like, “Oh well, guess I have to make bread.”… or I can do it and/to make Love… making Love is the same as making the bread — only using a different level of ingredients — while making the bread… similar to double-vision merged… the difference is you can make bread without making Love but you can’t make Love without making the bread…

It’s like when one changes a diaper (what! you couldn’t think of a better example than that? geez)… (finished?) even though it’s not exactly enjoyable, we do it because we Love the child and we want the child to know we Love it… to do this, we feel and project (make) Love — by/with/in our actions… we literally generate (or amplify if you prefer) the Love that we want this child to be surrounded by, know and feel… ultimately, to be…

And I think that’s exactly what we’re doing in everything we do, but we don’t seem to be aware of it, I guess…

anything, anyone, anywhere, anyway, anytime…

Any action we take… anything we do, think, say, feel, experience… any energy we expend (or take in)… can be done with Love, for Love, in Love, to make Love…

All can become Makin’ Love… no matter how much we know about it…

We need only to choose… making weapons, making money, etc… or Makin’ Love…

All else that we need, will develop… the first acceptance plants the seed and the decision made over and over, nourishes it…

Make it your hobby… make it your goal… make it your work… make it your Path…

It may become your experience…

If we make enough Love, after a while the things we do and experience will no longer get in the way of makin’ even more Love… the lantern shines as bright and strong as the glass is free of impurities…

Seems to me, if we can do this… why… when enough snowflakes fall, the ground becomes white… when enough sparks are encountered, the flame is lit…

  1. A second wave of inspiration came to me, reflecting on all this.

Maybe it’s not bad guys versus good guys… Jesus died for even the most vile of us all… I see it more clearly as those living in the Light, operating from Light… Against/among those who have found a comfortable/familiar operation pattern in darkness.

So why does the Light seem to be dimming?

Maybe the Light needs to feel more comfortable casting shadows. Cast is defined as dispelling with force… Not gently correcting, but aggressively putting a shadow in its rightful place. Unhesitantly. Unafraid of its own inner power. The brightest light casts the harshest shadows.

I’ve personally figured out how joyful, how empowering, encouraging and exciting it can be to shine brightly. The movement of light across dark space is exhilarating.

    I love you.

    • Well put… I agree that it is not ‘us vs them’… guess I look at it more like a garden — veggies/flowers & weeds… each plant does its best to grow and survive — to be strong/fruitful… while we wait for the gardener to come and weed and/or harvest… if I apply this to the Light, I see the same thing… shine… shine as bright as you can…

      • For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. (Romans 11:16)
which implies that even the weeds, or in this analogy the dead limbs no longer producing good fruit — which have been broken off and cast aside, are STILL YET considered His, and are thereby always able to receive redemption, being grafted back in…

And if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again, for God has the power to graft them back into the tree. You, by nature, were a branch cut from a wild olive tree. So if God was willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you into his cultivated tree, he will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong. (Romans 11:23-24)

Now they are the rebels, and God’s mercy has come to you so that they, too, will share in God’s mercy. (Romans 11:21)

        And most of all:
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. “These are the miraculous signs that will accompany believers: They will use the power and authority of my name to force demons out of people. They will speak new languages. They will pick up snakes, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them. They will place their hands on the sick and cure them.”
        (Mark 16:16-18)

…Jesus was very clear about the urgent importance of what He was saying here. The previous verse was His clarification between a believer and a non-believer. This came after the following verse:

Then Jesus said to them, “So wherever you go in the world, tell everyone the Good News. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. “These are the miraculous signs that will accompany believers: They will use the power and authority of my name to force demons out of people…” (Mark 16:15-17)

I am letting His light shine through me, as long as I am able.

And the unbelievable part of that? Everything. Everything is different in His light. I do not feel like I am even fighting a battle. The peace that surpasses understanding. Holy.

Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. (Romans 12:20)

        • Excellent… and of course I agree…
by Free Will each can either accept or reject the Gift that is offered…

As Light is composed of many colors, so is the Kingdom (or Body) composed of many different members…

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 1Co 12:7-11

          as for the ‘weeds’…

Mat 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

  2. “could it be because the bad ones are making more pain than we are Love?…”

    Wow. That reached.

Something very real happened. In the darkness, I realized I had forgotten what my own light looked like… Woah… And then when the bitterness, the sourness of that epiphany came over me, I resisted the urge of surpressing it, and for the first time I faced it.

Surely, things will never be the same. I know that they are forever altered by my acceptance of this truth, and my inability to allow it any longer.

Be the change? Be the love. Bingo. Because if something does not want love, does not allow love, it will have to leave to continue to exist in my world. I am love. I am light, radiating from the Source. Love.

    Check this out. 🙂 Powerful.

Beautifully written and simultaneously amusing! This is very true, and the diaper analogy is the icing on the cake. I understood what you meant, but when I pictured a mother/father changing smelly diapers with love and making the baby feel comfortable and even making him/her giggle in the process, it actually puts everything else in perspective.

Let’s make some Love damn it!

  5. Hey,you are right with this makin’ Love thing. But it takes a lot more energy, time and people to light up this world than to do the oppesit.
Distroying a good thing is easier than building(making) it!

    • Thank you…
I question whether destroying is easier than building… for example: in both cases, the person must survive, yes? The destroyer must not only survive (eat, sleep, etc.) but must also gather outside forces and materials, make plans, etc and then take action to destroy… whereas we (Love) need just accept the nourishment that is given and grow — like little Light/Love plants. 🙂
